Gov’t needs to do an introspection of its actions – Sammy Awuku

National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Sammy Awuku, has called on the Mahama administration to wake up from its slumber and implement policies that will give Ghanaians respite from the current unbridled economic hardships.

Sammy Awuku stated on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo that the government should not slacken in safeguarding the welfare of Ghanaians.

He also admonished the government not to expend the Heritage Fund, which to him, is a futuristic fund to cement the lives of the citizenry.

According to him, the Mahama government should cut down on its expenditure and also work assiduously to reclaim all the illegal judgment debts it paid to certain individuals and organizations.

Alluding to some economic pressures on the nation, Sammy Awuku expressed utmost dissatisfaction with the governance style of President John Dramani Mahama.

“I strongly believe it is about time that the government must sit down. The government must do an introspection of its spending. Some of the dubious judgment debts must be reclaimed,” he stated.
