Gov’t deliberately refused us employment – Nurses

The president of the Coalition of Unemployed Nurses, Adams Masawudu, has accused the government of deliberately turning deaf ears to their demands.

Speaking at a press conference to press home their demands in Accra, Adams Masawudu criticized the government for consistently denying them job and rather prioritizing strategies to win the upcoming November elections.

“It is very sad to note after a successful completion of training about two years ago, we are still here talking about employment when we had been bonded and promised employment immediately after completion. We believe it is deliberate plan by government to keep us at home and channel the resources that would have been used to pay our salaries to evidence-based electioneering campaign”.

The group has threatened to embark on demonstration at the flagstaff house on Wednesday April 25, 2016 to press home their demands.

They have also threatened to pressure the government and other stakeholders until their demands are met.
