Govt asked to expedite action on the appointment of DCEs

Senya-Beraku(C/R), April 28, GNA- The Presiding Member of the Awutu-Effutu-Senya District Assembly, Mr Kwesi Esseku has called on the Government to expedite action on the appointment of chief executives for the district, municipal and metropolitan assemblies.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Winneba, he said the undue delay in the appointment of substantive chief executives was causing anxiety among those in acting positions.

Mr Esseku said the situation had adversely affected the operations of the decentralized departments and agencies.

” The earlier the appointments the better it would be for Ghana,” he said. GNA
