Government’s $700 Million investment will transform agriculture – Karbo

Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, Anthony Abayifaa Karbo has observed that government’s plan to invest about $700 Million into Agriculture will transform the sector.

He is elated that the government as part of its Marshal plan is focused on putting agricultural growth and development back on the agenda of priorities.

“The $700 Million planned investment in the agric sector would lead to a complete transformation of the sector and bring enormous prosperity to both our farmers and the nation”, he said in a statement commemorating this year’s farmers day.

“As a farmer myself, I always look forward to days like this when the work we do to feed our beloved nation gets recognized and appreciated.

As a Member of Parliament representing a constituency which is largely agrarian, I am very familiar with the challenges our farmers face day in and out.

And that is why I am excited by the Government’s Marshall Plan for Agriculture which is focused on putting agricultural growth and development back on the agenda of priorities”

In his view, it is a great time to be a Ghanaian farmer.
