Governmental projects lack proper supervision – Nduom

Elmina, April 3, GNA – Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, the flagbearer of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), on Friday appealed to District Assemblies to properly supervise governmental projects. He said the lack of proper supervision has led to shoddy work, delay in completion and abandoning of projects, which has led to the government not meeting its targets. Dr Nduom made this known when he paid a visit to sites of some projects he has initiated as a Member of Parliament (MP) in his Constituency. He said the completion of two libraries and roads at Abreshia, Abrem Agona, Komenda and Akomada respectively, had been delayed due to lack of supervision by the District Assembly.

Similarly, he said a third library and a community centre at Komenda and Abrem Agona had been completed but without electricity. Dr Nduom explained that, the projects comprise a computer library, a book library, offices and a play ground, which would be handed over to the District Assembly. The community centre would, however, be handed over to the traditional leaders.

He thanked the chiefs for providing the lands for the projects and added that such acts propelled a nation forward in development. Dr Nduom announced that, he would personally sponsor a multi-purpose library at Elmina which would start soon.
