Government will prosecute people on good grounds – Col. Neku

Denu, Jan. 2, GNA – Colonel Cyril Neku (retired), Deputy Volta Regional Minister, said Government was committed to fighting corruption and that prosecution of people would be on a clear convincing ground. He urged Ghanaians to exercise restraint to allow government to pursue due diligence, rule of law and good governance in fighting graft in the economy.

Col. Neku, who was addressing the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ketu South Constituency executives and supporters at a day forum on Wednesday at Denu, said President Mills would rule the nation to the satisfaction of all.

He said political vendetta and witch hunting would not be allowed in the President Atta Mills’ government.

Col. Neku advised members of the party to remain united and to solve all internal differences.

Mr James Avedzi, Ketu South Member of Parliament (MP) and Chairman, Parliamentary Select-Committee on Finance, said last year had been a difficult period for the government and the average citizen because of internal and external challenges that confronted President Mills’ administration.

Mr Bernard Amable, Ketu South District Chief Executive (DCE) called for unity in the party and in President Mills Government. 2 Jan. 09
