Government warned against excessive aids and grants

Government has been charged to desist from the trend of receiving foreign support from development partners across the world.

Retired diplomat during the tenure of the Kwame Nkrumah administration, KB Asante, is of the view that the trend of Ghana receiving aid and grants from various partners inures to the negative development of the Ghanaian economy.

Speaking to Class FM on the recent financial aid that government keeps receiving, the renowned diplomat posited that Ghana stands to have a boisterous economy if political leaders stopped the attitude of “sloppy thinking” and “ bad planning”.

The comments by K.B Asante follows recent support in aid by the Confederation of Switzerland at the tune of $80 million dollars.
