Government urged to withhold appointment of DCE

Accra, June 16, GNA – The Paramount Chief of Adaklu, Togbiga Gbogbi Atsa V on Thursday asked the committee investigating the issues of Adaklu to recommend to the President to withhold the appointment of Mr Mawuli Kwame Dabi as the District Chief Executive (DCE) till the issues were resolved.

A statement signed by the Chief on Thursday said the people of Adaklu were not interested in the DCE, adding that there were many potential persons who could serve the interest of government and the people better. It said the DCE could not be effective in the face of all the problems confronting the area.

The statement said the chiefs and people of Adaklu were grateful to the President for creating the new district of Adaklu Anyibge as well as directing investigations into the impasse over the choice of district capital.
