Government to establish lands secretariats

Twifo Praso (C/R) Feb.21, GNA- Government is to establish land secretariats in all the traditional councils to streamline stool lands administration.

Mr Kweku Apau-Apea, Twifo-Heman-Lower-Denkyira District Stool Lands Officer, made this known at Twifo-Praso, when he briefed members of ATTI Morkwa Traditional Council, on measures being taken by the government to enhance the procedure for payment of stool lands revenue.

He observed that lack of proper demarcation of stool lands, had made it difficult for the appropriate identification of tenant farmers required to pay revenue, and appealed to the traditional councils to cooperate with personnel the of the proposed secretariats to address the situation.
