Government to build police station at Mile 14

Mile 14 (Ash), Aug 24, GNA – Mr S.K. Boafo, the Ashanti Regional Minister, said plans by Government to build a police station at Mile 14 in the newly created Amansie Central District had reached and an advanced stage.

The Minister was responding to requests by the chiefs and people of Afoako, Hia, Mile 14, Fenaso-Fawoman and Tweapease communities to Government to initiate development projects in the area, during his tour of the place.

Mr Boafo assured the people that their requests would be considered and appealed to them to vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government in the 2004 election to enable it retain power to fulfil their desires.

The people also appealed to the Government to build a clinic to improve health care delivery and to rehabilitate roads to facilitate economic activities in the area.

Mr Boafo introduced the newly elected NPP parliamentary candidate for the area, Mr Emmanuel Kwasi Gyamfi to the people and asked them to vote for him.

Mr Boafo had inaugurated a three-unit classroom block and a toilet at Fenaso-Fawoman built at the cost of 230 million cedis with HIPC funds.
