Government pledges 500 million cedis for Tetrem SSS

Boamang (Ash), Oct 31, GNA – Government on Saturday pledged 500 million cedis for Tetrem Senior Secondary School for infrastructure development.

This was announced by President John Agyekum Kufuor when addressing a durbar of the chiefs and people of Boamang in the Afigya-Sekyere district as part of his official tour of the Ashanti Region.

He said the Government would consider an appeal for the creation of a separate district for the area, while more development projects would be undertaken in the area.

Nana Ko Atwenewua, chief of Nsuontem, appealed to the Government for compensation to people displaced on the release of Nkwantakese lands for the Barekese Dam.
