Government clears health workers for recruitment

Finally, clearance has been given for the recruitment of nurses and other health professionals who were granted financial clearance in December 2016.

The recruitment was suspended by government on February 16, 2016.

The suspension affected over 8000 nurses and other health professionals across the country.

But in a letter dated March 20 signed by the Deputy Human Resource Manager of the Ghana Health Service, Peter Obiri-Yeboah on behalf of his boss asked regional directors of the service to resume the process.

The letter stated in part, “The honourable Minister of Health has granted approval for the recruitment of trainees and other health professionals who were granted financial clearance in December 2016 in line with the regional ceilings.”
