Government appointee elected PM for Dangme East Assembly

Ada Foah, Nov. 06, GNA – Mr Kanor Senakety, a government appointee of the Dangme East District Assembly, has been elected Presiding Member for the 51- member house.

He polled 35 votes as against 16 for Mr Samuel Ofori Portuphy, assembly member for the Big Ada Loimobiawerh electoral area.

Nene Tastsu Perdiator lV, Senior Divisional Chief of Kudragbe Division of Ada Traditional Area, urged the assembly members to bury their differences and come together with a common goal to develop their area. Sheik I. C. Quaye, the Greater Accra Regional Minister who inaugurated the assembly, urged the members to respect each other’s view and consult experts in matters where they differ in opinions.

He asked them to increase their internally generated funds to support those funds from the government to ensure accelerated development.
