Goodwill Message To Tamale Central Constitituecy

PRESS STATEMENT
Goodwill Message To Tamale Central Constitituecy Of ThE NDC ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR NATIONAL CONGRESS TO ELECT THEIR PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE
I have the privilege to send a Goodwill message and to congratulate the Tamale Central branch of the National Democratic Congress on the occasion of their National Delegates Conference scheduled for the 8th – 10th July 2011 in Sunyani to elect their Presidential candidate.
I particularly extend my regards to the delegates representing the constituency as they join the rest of the Party’s delegations from across the country to determine who represents their Party on the Presidential ballot for the 2012 general elections.
I remind the National Democratic Congress that the peaceful outcome of this exercise is crucial and significant to their unity and will deepen our democratic dispensation as a country. I urge the NDC leadership to ensure that the election is conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner to the satisfaction of the delegation and the entire Party as executed by the New Patriotic Party in our historic Presidential primary in August 2010 and the recent Parliamentary primaries held simultaneously across the country.
It is my hope that, the NDC would take measures to ensure the safety and security of all attendees by strengthening security at the venue to deal with potential confrontations so as to prevent a repeat of the violence that characterized their conference in Koforidua a couple years ago.
Our democracy becomes healthier if all political parties internal processes are apt, transparent and in tandem with the laws of the country.
I pray that almighty Allah will be with you as set off for the congress. May you return home safely to reunite with your friends and families after the conference.
Thank you.
Yours faithfully
