Gonokrom Post Exceeds Target

The Customs, Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) at Gonokrom, a border town in Darmaa District collected more than ?12 billion in revenue last year, exceeding its target by 72.3 per cent in the Brong Ahafo Region.

Mr. Andrews Nyarko, Base Commander, who disclosed this at a get-together at Darmaa Ahenkro, commended the collective effort and teamwork of staffs towards the attainment of the feat.

Mr. Alex Narh Okunor, Assistant Commissioner and Brong Ahafo Regional Commander of the Service, said the chunk of revenue collected by the service in the region came from Gonokrom. He commended the staff for their good work and urged them to redouble their efforts to exceed the target for the year.

The Regional Commander gave the assurance that the headquarters of CEPS would make efforts to address problems including lack of accommodation and communication facilities facing the service in the region.
