Gomoa West Assembly to renovate court building

Apam(C/R), Jan. 6, GNA – The Apam District magistrate’s court buil= ding, which is in a deplorable condition, would soon be renovated by the District Assembly, the District Chief Executive for the area, Mr. Theophilus Aidoo-Mensah, has said. Mr Aidoo-Mensah said this to the GNA on Wednesday when he visited the court premises to acquaint himself with the extent of deterioration. He said building was unsafe for use due to the nature of cracks it had developed.

The window frame of the main hall as well as the witness box have all been destroyed by termites while the wooden benches for the public in the court rooms have all been broken down exposing rusted nails. He praised the court staff for working in the decrepit building and appealed to them to develop the culture of maintenance after the renovation works.
