Gomoa West Assembly has not pledged any cement to School

Apam (C/R), April 13, GNA – The Gomoa West District Chief Executive, Mr Theophilus Aidoo-Mensah, has appealed to people of the District to stop machinations to commit the Assembly to do things it had not planned for. Commenting on reports that the DCE had pledged 100 bags of cement to the Technical and Vocational School at Gomoa Adaa, Mr Aidoo-Mensah said he had never made such a pledge. He said he believed it might be a trick by someone or a group of people to commit the assembly to provide the item. He said as much as he would wish the Assembly could assist the School with the cement, it had no money for such unbudgeted for item. Mr Aidoo-Mensah said before the end of every year the Assembly budgets for things it would do the next year and that the budget could be thrown out of gear if the Assembly should be operating outside it. Mr Aidoo-Mensah appealed to the people including chiefs and heads of schools to submit their needs through their assembly members to the Assembly early enough to be captured into the budget estimates.
