Gomoa West Assembly assists communities to watch World Cup matches

Apam (C/R), June 14, GNA – Gomoa West District Assembly has donated four DSTVs with accessories, including projectors, decoders and large screens to four communities in the district to enable the people to watch

the ongoing World Cup football tournament in South Africa.

The items, including one month subscription fee and installation, co st the assembly GH¢21,476.00 and were presented to Apam, Dago, Dawurampong and Eshiem.

Presenting the items at Apam Mr Theophilus Aidoo-Mensah, the Distric t Chief Executive said the assembly was determined to make life comfortable

for the people and urged them to contribute their quota by paying their taxes and providing communal labour any time the need arose. He assured other communities that they would also have their turn anytime money was available. He appealed to the beneficiaries to use the DSTV to promote educatio n of the children in their communities.
