Gomoa East NPP picks officers

Ekwamkrom (CR), Oct 20, GNA – Mr Augustus Kofi Mensah, Gomoa East Constituency Chairman and five of other members of the old executive retained their posts at an election conducted at the constituency delegate’s conference at Ekwamkrom.

Other executive members retained were Mr Emmanuel Ahubah, first Vice Chairman, Mr Alex Koomson, Second Vice Chairman, Mr Peter Ankomah, Treasurer, Miss Gladys Nyam, Women’s Organiser and Mr Justice Baafi Bosompim, Youth Organiser.

Prince Charles Abbam was elected Secretary and Mr John Kweku Donkoh, Organiser.

Mr Daniel Kwesi Mintah, Central Regional Vice Chairman who swore the new executive members into office charged them to be worthy ambassadors of the party not only in the constituency but also in the whole District.

He advised them to educate the people on the good work the government was doing to enable them to rally behind it. Mr Mensah on behalf of his executive members promised to work hard to retain the seat in the 2008 general elections and urged the defeated candidates to join hands with the new executive to work for the victory of the party in the next general election. Mr Bertino Stephen, Gomoa District Electoral Officer, supervised the election.

Ninety-three polling station executives and nine constituency executives participated in the election.
