Gomoa East DCE dies

The Gomoa East District Chief Executive Isaac Kingsley Ahunu-Armah has passed away in the Central region.

Ahunu-Armah resigned from office a few days ago on health grounds.

According to Starr News’ Central Regional correspondent Baah Achemfour, the DCE died on Thursday morning.

The late DCE was battling stroke and had to turn in his resignation letter as he could no longer cope with the pressure associated with the work amidst his deteriorating health, Achemfour reported.

He said the DCE died at his residence.

Ahunu-Armah was appointed in 2009 during the era of the late President John Evans Atta-Mills and was reappointed in 2013 by President John Mahama.

This is the second death of a DCE recorded in 2015 following that of the MCE for Efutu.
