GoldStars Coach Frimpong Manso Vows To Rebuild After Super Cup Defeat To Kotoko

Bibiani GoldStars head coach Frimpong Manso has admitted his side still has “a lot of work to do” following their 1-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko in the 2025 Super Cup final at Dun’s Park.

The loss denied GoldStars a second major silverware, as Kotoko clinched the Champion of Champions title in front of a lively crowd in Bibiani.

Speaking after the game, Manso acknowledged the gulf in quality but expressed belief in his team’s potential.

“There’s still a lot of work we have to do on the team,” he said. “We’ll go back, improve in key areas and come back stronger. This defeat is a lesson, not the end.”

Despite the disappointment, GoldStars impressed many with their spirited run to the final whistle, and fans will be hopeful that the experience sharpens the side ahead of the new Ghana Premier League season.
