Some NPP youth in the Volta Region are rooting for first vice chairman Fred Oware as the next NPP national chairman.
According to the group, “Friends of Fred Oware” the call is a divine directive they got after an intense prayer and fasting on the way forward for the party.
Speaking to XYZ NEWS, the spokesperson for the group, Charles Searyoh, said they believe Mr. Oware is the best character God has chosen to lead the party to victory in 2016.
“After the election petition, we went into prayer and asked God on things concerning the future of the party; He revealed to us that Fred Oware has been chosen as the national chairman under whose leadership the party would win power,” he said.
Several names have already come out as possible contenders for the post. They include former Attorney General Nii Ayikoi Otoo, NPP former 1st Vice Chairman, Stephen Ntim and an aide to Alan Kyeremanteng, Paul Afoko.
