Goat thief jailed six months

Sekondi, July 15, GNA- Agya Kofi Gyebi, an 18-year-old truck pusher was on Thursday sentenced to six months imprisonment for stealing a goat. He pleaded guilty.

Police Sergeant Andam Okyere told the court that on July 11 this year, the complainant Yusif Alhassan bought the goat for 140,000 cedis and tied it to a stake in his house.

He said around 0500 hours the next day, the goat could not be traced and a report was made to the Police.

Sgt Okyere said during investigations, Gyebi said he untied the goat around 1100 hours and sold it to some travellers.
