Go to court or shut up- Yamoah Ponkoh dares NPP

Outspoken Municipal Chief Executive of Ejisu-Juaben, Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh, has dared the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to proceed with their threat to sue him or forever hold their peace.

The former football administrator comment comes in a wake of threats by the NPP campaign team to haul him to court for alleging that its Presidential Candidate Nana Akufo-Addo plotted to assassinate former President Jerry Rawlings a few years ago.

Affirming his earlier stance on an Accra based radio station, Mr. Ponkoh retorted he will not eat a humble pie regarding the comment he made.

He said, “We are in a democratic state. The law courts are there to deal with these issues so if you think I have said something that is not true and you need further explanation or proof, the law courts are there.”

“If I am served by a bailiff, to appear before or answer certain questions, I would definitely answer those questions. Let whoever is ready to take me on and I will respond appropriately,” he added.
