GMA mourns President Mills

The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has joined the nation to mourn the sudden death of President Atta-Mills.

“Indeed, it is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we express our condolences to the immediate and extended family of the Late President”, Mr. Kwabena Opoku-Adusei, President of GMA said.

“Our sympathies also go to the members of his government, the parliament of the Republic of Ghana and the country as a whole”, he added.

As a sign of respect, he said, GMA had called off its Annual Public Lecture which was scheduled to come off on July 25.

He expressed hope that in the midst of these trying and sorrowful times, the country would still find space in their grief to support the new President, John Dramani Mahama.

He urged leaders on all levels to stand firm and be focused to continue government’s business for the good of the nation.**
