Glover elected Volta’s representative on Council of State

Ho, Feb. 24, GNA – Dr Bernard Glover, 68, Proprietor of Hotel Cisneros at Sogakope, was on Tuesday elected Volta Region’s representative on the Council of State.

He got 18 votes followed by Very Reverend Livingstone Komla Buama, Immediate Past Moderator of the Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Church, Ghana with 6 votes.

Seven of the 17 candidates who contested had zero, four got one vote each and three others had two votes each.

Thirty-four member regional Electoral College made up of two representatives from each of the 17 districts in the region, presided over by Miss Laurentia Kpatakpa, Volta Regional Director of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, cast their votes.
