Global Evangelical Church holds Prayer Festival

Oyibi (G/A), Dec. 30, GNA – The Global Evangelical Church is to put up a Secondary School and a Retreat Centre at Oyibi at the cost of 100,000 Ghana cedis. The project, which would be executed in three phases, would be financed through voluntary contributions and fund-raising activities. Reverend Christian F.W. Gbekor, Chairman of the Accra Presbytery of the church, announced this on Tuesday at the opening of the church’s Annual Prayer Festival at Oyibi, near Dodowa in the Greater Accra Region. The festival, under the theme: “Prayer – The Key to Accelerated Growth,” is aimed at lifting up the spiritual growth of members, and to offer prayers to the nation and the world as a whole. Rev. Gbekor called on Christians to look upon the Lord and pray for their needs. He expressed his gratitude for the peaceful manner the election was held and was hopeful that Ghanaians would continue to live in peace and harmony even after the results were announced. 30 Dec. 08
