Gladys Asmah involved in accident

Wa, May 16, GNA – Mrs. Gladys Asmah, Minister of Women and Children’s Affairs sustained some injuries when her vehicle was involved in an accident near Fian in the Nadowli district on Saturday. She was traveling from Blogatanga to Wa to begin a two-day working visit to the Upper West Region when the accident occurred.

Mr. David Aidoo, Special Assistant to the Minister told newsmen that at the Wa Regional Hospital that they heard an unusual noise under the front side of the vehicle and immediately it somersaulted more that three times before hitting a tree.

She has since been flown to Accra for further treatment after a brief admission at the hospital. All the others travelling with her in the vehicle, including Mr. Aidoo and her bodyguard escaped unhurt.
