GJA congratulates award winners

Accra, July 4, GNA – The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) on Friday congratulated Mr. Ransford Tetteh, GJA President, for being decorated with the Order of the Volta-Member by President John Agyekum Kufuor. “The Association wishes to express joy at the conferment of the same award on some members of the Association at the national award ceremony,” a statement signed in Accra by Mr Bright Kwame Blewu, General Secretary, said.

The members were Mrs Rhodeline Baffour-Gyimah, Ms Beatrice Aidoo, Mrs Gina Blay, Ms. Doris Ansah, Mr Kwaku Nkrumah, Mr. Godwin Avenorgbo and Mr Kweku Baako. The rest were Mr Kwaku Sakyi-Addo, Alhaji Haruna Attah, Mr. Kwami Safa-Kayi, Mr. Amankwa Ampofo, Mr. Randy Abbey and Alhaji Abubakari Sadick Ahmed. The statement said the significant number of media personnel who received awards was an acknowledgement of the media’s contribution to national development and added that it would strengthen their commitment to greater public service.
