Give government enough time to plan – Chief

Agona-Swedru (C/R), May 10, GNA-Nana Barimah Oduro I, President of the West-Ghana Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, at the weekend made an appeal to Ghanaians to give enough time to the Government to plan properly for the socio-economic development of the country.

Addressing executive members of the Church at Agona Swedru, Nana Oduro described 100 days given by President John Evans Attah Mills as so short a time to address all the pertinent issues confronting the nation. He said that the President and his team of planners required adequate time to put things in order before they could propel the administrative machinery of the country forward successfully.

What was needed at the moment, Nana Oduro said was for the citizenry to sink their political and other differences and rally firmly behind their District, Municipal and Metropolitan Chief Executives and Assembly Members to carryout their development programmes effectively. He reminded Ghanaians that, unity and hard work had been the ‘master keys’ for development of society and nations. Nana Oduro therefore charged Ghanaians to cultivate the spirit of hard work and good morals “to enable us to contribute our quota towards achievement of national goals and aspirations.”
