GHC 400 million judgement debt saga deepens

Following Citi News report on the Tamale Tohazie Hotel transaction, reports are that tipper trucks have since been cited dumping building materials at the site.

It will be recalled that Alhaji Yakubu Kasuli, Chief Executive Officer of Gbewaa Civil Engineers who is claiming ownership of the Tohazie Hotel is suing for GHC 400 million cedis as judgement debt.

He accused some two NDC gurus, Alhaji Hudu Yahaya and Mr. P.V Obeng of allegedly abrogating the contract during the PNDC era with Alhaji Hudu Yahaya now claiming ownership of the property.

Alhaji Kasuli in an interview said he was unaware of the recent development at the site and hinted of the possibility of securing court injunction on whoever is attempting to renovate the facility.

“What is happening is that if there is really an attempt to develop the place I will have to instruct my lawyers to go and place an injunction on it because nobody has the right to work on the facility which I am the rightful owner; Hudu Yahaya claims he is the owner of the place and he has no right to develop the place.”
