GHAPPCA to award deserving members

Accra, Oct. 31, GNA – The Ghana Printers and Paper Converters Association (GHAPPCA) is to organise an awards ceremony for deserving members who have in diverse ways contributed to the growth of the industry.

The ceremony scheduled for December 17, at the Coconut Grove Hotel in Accra, is aimed at strengthening the front of the Association by bringing all stakeholders in the industry under one umbrella for a common goal.

In all three awards would be given out to deserving members including “dedication to industry, corporate excellence (industry) and corporate excellence (allied service)”.

Outlining the criteria for the selection of winners, Mr Appiah Berko Senior, President of GHAPPCA, said recipients of the three awards must have a proven track record of professional service in the industry, entrepreneurship ability, fulfilment of national obligations such as taxes, social security, outstanding social responsibility and services to community.

He said the award winners must also show high standard of customer care and service commitment, adherence to national labour regulations, meet the national standard certification and strict adherence to the directives of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as well as being an associate, aspiring or potential member of the Association. Mr Berko Senior also inaugurated two committees charged with the responsibility of seeing to the successful implementation of the programme.

Mr Berko heads the nine-member Planning Committee while Mr Frank Appiah, a member of the Association, would chair the 11-member Awards Committee.
