GHANASS cuts down ‘killer’ trees after disaster on campus

Management of Ghana Senior High School (SHS) has cut down over aged trees on the school compound to avert repetition of last Saturday’s unfortunate incident which killed a student and injured 7 others.

The deceased a first year student Desmond Amoako 16, met his untimely death after he was trapped under a falling tree on the school compound.

Monday said this has become necessary to avert recurrence in the near future.

Meanwhile, management of the school and Ghana Education Service (GES) officials are currently locked up in a meeting with the family of the deceased student.

The injured students are receiving treatment at St Joseph Hospital.
