Ghana’s woes down to bad leadership – Akufo-Addo

Ghana is not a poor country but the bad management and poor leadership of the NDC has made the country and its citizens poor, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said.

According to him, “The Mahama government has shown that it is incompetent and cannot be trusted to do the job. Be it businesses or agriculture, every aspect of the economy is in tatters. I am coming to fix all of this. I am going to assemble an array of talented men and women who will fix the economy so we can bring relief, wealth, and prosperity to every part of Ghana.”

Addressing supporters of the NPP at Gomoa during his Central Regional tour, Mr Akufo-Add stated: “It will not be long and we will see prosperity in Ghana. We are not a poor country; but because of the bad management and poor leadership of the NDC, we are all suffering. This will change under an NPP government.”

The three-time flagbearer of the NPP further told the gathering: “There is hardship everywhere and the Ghanaian is suffering. But we can change this. I am asking for your vote, so we can change Ghana and bring jobs for our unemployed youth. For you, market women, a change in government will also mean an opportunity for the monetary system in Ghana to be fixed so you can also get back on your feet again. Ghana, a land filled with an abundance of human and natural resources, was not destined to be a poor country. We can do something about our circumstances, and that can only come about when I have your vote and your support.”

He assured that his government would be committed to serving Ghanaians, saying, “When we are in power, we are not going to be lords over you; we are coming to serve you.

“We will put in place policies that will create jobs for the youth because it is our desire to help build a better future for all. We have put together a competent team that will help salvage us from the poverty, unemployment, bad polices, and, above all, bring fulfilment to Ghanaians.”
