Ghana’s Parliament facilitates vehicle acquisition for members use

Parliament is in the process of facilitating the acquisition of new vehicles for the official use of Members.

The House is expected to meet today in a Committee of the Whole, to consider a loan agreement between the Parliamentary service and Societe General Ghana Limited for an amount of Twenty-Two Million, Five Hundred thousand Dollars with the government of Ghana as the guarantor.

The Parliamentary Service is raising the money to be lent to the MPs on terms applicable to public officers for the purpose of acquiring the vehicles for the performance of their duties.

It is however, not clear if all the 275 MPs will be taking advantage of the package.
