Ghanaians will retain Mahama in 2016 – Haruna Iddrisu

Employment and Labour minister Haruna Iddrisu has said he is confident Ghanaians will retain President John Mahama in the 2016 elections.

According to him, the President has proven under severe economic conditions that, he is capable of managing the Ghanaian economy.

Speaking to Citi FM Tuesday, the former trades minister said many Ghanaians will bear testimony to the fact that their living conditions have improved under the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

“Development and building a prosperous and peaceful country is not a strange event.

“It takes a collective change in our attitude in contributing to national development and to reduce the excesses of excessive partisanship.

“I think that Ghanaians have the opportunity to make a judgment on us come December 2016 and to hold us to our words on many of the promises that we (Government) made.

“And I know that in many parts of the country, they do appreciate the leadership of President Mahama and many of the interventions he has made in various aspects of their lives,” he stated.
