Ghanaians urged to translate ideas into reality

Praso (C/R) Dec. 27, GNA – Mr Abraham Odoom, Twifo-Heman-Lower Denkyira District Chief Executive (DCE), urged Ghanaians to translate their rich ideas into reality towards the building of a better country. He said unless the people took steps to put into practice their positive thoughts the country would continue to suffer poverty and diseases.

Mr Odom was speaking at the closing session of a four-day workshop organised by the district assembly in collaboration with the ‘Trend group’ Village Infrastructure Project (VIP) at Twifo- Praso, on Wednesday.

It was aimed at building the capacity of officials who managed markets in the district to enable them to manage the facilities effectively for maximise revenue.

Twenty-five officials comprising revenue collectors, assembly members and representatives from the district agricultural office, police and fire service personnel participated in the workshop. Mr Odoom advised the participants to take the workshop seriously and asked them initiate measures towards formation of management committees to see to the running of the various markets in the district. The DCE said he would ensure the proper functioning of the markets to generate more funds for the development of the area.
