Ghanaians urged to sustain peace in the country

Barima Owusu Asare, Benkumhene of Gomoa Dabayi in Central Region, has advised Ghanaians not to allow politicians to use them to disturb the current peace and tranquility in the country.

“We have only one Ghana and for that matter as people we should contribute our quota to sustain the peace we are enjoying before, during and after the 2016 elections”.

Barima Asare who is also the Kyidomhene of the Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area, gave the advice when he chaired a special thanks-giving service of the Bohner Congregationof the Presby Church at Agona Kwanyako.

The service under the theme: “What Shall I Render Unto My God,” was also to generate funds for expansion works of the church building.

Barima Asare emphasized the need for Ghanaians not to allow partisan politics to divide them, but to rather embrace the spirit of togetherness to develop.

He appealed to Ministers of the Gospel to use the Word of God to sensitize their congregation to stand firm, and to expose people who attempted to use them to bring confusion into the country for their selfish ambitions, before, during and after the 2016 elections.

The Kyidomhene urged parents to invest in the education of their children, since they were the future leaders of this nation.

Rev. S. F. Adjei, Minister in charge of the church, in a sermon, stressed the need for all and sundry to thank the Lord God for seeing us through the numerous challenges facing the country.

He later led the congregation in prayers to thank the Lord and asked for his continuous blessings on the nation.
