Kumasi, Dec. 5, GNA – Alhaji Amen Bonsu, National Coordinator of the Ghana Muslim Mission, has called on all Ghanaians, especially Muslim youth, to exhibit a high sense of political maturity on the Election Day and thereafter.
He said this was very important because the whole world was watching how Ghanaians would pass this test as was demonstrated in the 2000 General Election.
Speaking to the GNA in Kumasi at the weekend, Alhaji Bonsu, who is also the managing director of Amen Scientific Herbal Clinic, said, “while we all pray for peace, there is the need for people to refrain from provocative acts”.
vying for political leadership positions were after the well-being and the development of all Ghanaians and it was, therefore, clear that whoever won needed support and not violence. Alhaji Bonsu urged Muslim youth not to allow themselves to be used by politicians for their whims and caprices to bring the Islamic religion into disrepute.
“Get up early in the morning, go and cast your vote, after that leave the polling station without involving yourself in any activity that will create problem for you”, he said.
