Ghanaians urged to rely on God for solution of Country’s problems.

Anaji (W/R), Feb 17 GNA – Christians and Ghanaians in general have been called upon to trust and rely on God for the solution of the numerous problems facing the country and themselves.

Mrs. Lucy Otoo, Local preacher of the Good Shepherd Methodist Church at Tanokrom, made the call in a sermon at the Christ the King Methodist Church at Anaji Estate on Sunday to round off a three-day Annual General Meeting of the Effia-kuma Circuit Association of Methodist Men’s Fellowship.

She pointed out that no man or any group of persons could solve the country’s and individual problems without the intervention of God. To achieve this task, Mrs. Otoo urged Ghanaians to fast and pray unceasingly for the nation and its leaders as well as to rededicate themselves to the service of God and the nation.

She asked Ghanaians not to allow their search for money and wealth take preference over the worship of God, adding, “A day would come when we shall refuse to see or handle our wealth as they would become useless to us”.

Mrs. Otoo urged Ghanaians to work hard and be faithful in every position they find themselves and avoid selfishness and other vices, which lower their spiritual upliftment.

Circuit officers elected at the AGM include Mr. S. K. Andoh, chairman, Mr. Edward Adu-Adjei, vice chairman, Mr. Ernest Quashigah, secretary, Mr. S. S. Yankey, Assistant Secretary, Mr. J. K. Arthur, Treasurer, Mr. D. K. Mensah, Financial Secretary and Mr. S. B. Maani, Public Relations officer.
