Ghanaians urged to meet year 2011 with confidence

Accra, Jan. 1, GNA – An Evangelist of the Redemption Methodist Church at Abeka in Accra, Emmanuel Andzie, has challenged Ghanaians to meet the year 2011 with boldness and confidence by casting out fear and panic, which normally characterized new years. In a New Year message to the Christian community and Ghanaians after a watch-night service on the theme: “God Will Rescue You”, he said with boldness and confidence people would be able to meet their expectations in life.

He said New Year was normally fraught with uncertainties as one could not predict what the ensuing year had in store for him or her. Evangelist Andzie thanked God on behalf of the nation, families and individuals for His providence and sustenance. He used the occasion to encourage President Mills and his Cabinet Ministers not to be daunted when the nation passed through deep waters but rather they should repose their confidence and trust in God for a miracle. Evangelist Andzie called on Ghanaians to put their trials and tribulations in the past year behind them and embrace the New Year with fresh confidence and hope. He, therefore, reminded the Christian community to remember the nation in their prayers in the quest for a prosperous and happy New Year.
