Accra, April 5, GNA – Ghana’s war against indiscipline and moral decadence would be won if the hearts of the citizens undergo spiritual transformation, Pastor James Kofi Abrrey, National Overseer, Deeper Christian Life Ministry, said on Wednesday.
“When the heart of man is transformed by adhering to the commands and the word of God, society and the world will be also transformed for the better and that would make the world a better place to live in.” Speaking at a press conference in Accra, Pastor Abrrey noted that the time had come for the African to take his own destiny into his hands by way of transforming his heart and mind in order to curb the poverty plaguing the Continent.
The press conference was to throw light on a crusade dubbed: “African-wide Great Transformation” scheduled for the Independence Square from April 26 to April 30, 2006.
The crusade to be organized under the auspices of the Ghana Pentecostal Council (GPC), National Association Charismatic Christian Churches (NACCC) and the Deeper Life Christian Ministry, would host Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, Founder of the Deeper Life Christian Ministry. Pastor Abbrey observed that the Government had waged a relentless war against indiscipline and moral decadence under the banner of zero tolerance for corruption and indiscipline but there appeared to be no victory.
“The festering sore of indiscipline and corruption in our national fabric appears to be worsening, he said, adding that spiritual transformation was badly needed to stem the degeneration and self destruction.
Throwing more light on the crusade, Pastor Abrrey said the programme would be transmitted through satellite to other African countries while other people would receive the message online. Mr Abbrey said during the programme, Rev Kumuyi, a renowned Nigerian Evangelist, would also interact with church leaders, women and youth leaders Christian professionals at a Special Ministerial Conference.
The Reverend Sam Korankye Ankrah, General Overseer of the Royal House Chapel, described Rev. Kumuyi as one of the greatest African Leaders, who had built good moral and Christian values over the years. He, therefore, urged Ghanaians to attend the Crusade to imbibe the message.
