Ghanaians in Kuwait mark Independence Day

Members of the Association of Ghanaian Residents in Kuwait (AGRIK) have celebrated Ghana??s 48th Independence Anniversary at the luxurious Salmiya Palace Hotel. The celebration kicked off with an exhibition of Ghanaian artifacts, samples of Ghanaian agricultural products, traditional dresses, magazines and pamphlets about Ghana.

The guest speaker at the ceremony was the Charge d??Affairs of the Nigerian Embassay in Kuwait, Udoma Udoh-Unang. He spoke about the pioneering role Ghana and Dr. Kwame Nkrumah played in Africa??s struggle for independence.

The night was an overwhelming success with plenty of delicious food and beautiful highlife music to satisfy everyone.

The President of AGRIK, Eddie Amoafo expressed gratitude to all those who attended the ceremony.
