Ghanaians don’t deserve NDC’s Incompetence

The 2012 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo, is worried about the hardships that the Ghanaian people are facing as a result of the NDC’s “incompetence and mediocrity.”

Addressing a mammoth rally on Monday as part of his Eastern regional tour, Nana Addo said “the Ghanaian people continue to lament about rising cost of living, unbearable hardships and widespread poverty, most of them blaming their predicaments on the current NDC government.”

Nana Addo continued “whilst on the listening tour, the Ghanaian people told me that life was much better for them when the NPP was in power.”

Recounting some of the achievements of the erstwhile NPP administration, Nana Addo said all the social interventions that President Kufuor introduced were meant to cushion the vulnerable in society and lessen the burden of education and healthcare amongst others.

He said unfortunately, the NDC are gradually collapsing most of these policies, thereby increasing the people’s hardships.

“The Ghanaian people don’t deserve this incompetence and mediocrity and the earlier we retired the NDC the better for the welfare of our country’s people” Nana Addo charged.

“We will revive strongly all the social interventions that we introduced: NHIS, cocoa mass spraying exercise, school feeding programme, capitation grant and free basic education, which we will extend to include senior high school,” he said.

“The welfare of Ghanaians is at the heart of the NPP’s economic transformation agenda and we will do it for you if God willing you give us the opportunity,” Nana Addo told the crowd.

The NPP leader also toured communities such as Brekumanso, Aduembra, Kobereso, Akanten, Osenase and Ekoso as part of his tour of the Lower West Akim constituency.

On Tuesday he will tour the Akwatia constituency to end his ‘hope tour’ of the Eastern Region.
