Ghanaians commemorate Good Friday

Accra, March 21, GNA- Christians in Ghana are on Friday joining their counterparts all over the world to commemorate Good Friday, the anniversary of suffering, crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ some 2000 years ago.

Christians in Ghana will wear black or mourning dresses as they attend special Church services to commemorate the day. Good Friday comes barely a week after Palm Sunday, which marked the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.

Many Christians have over the past couple of weeks been fasting and praying and asking for repentance and meditation on the agony and suffering of Christ on the cross and what this means for their faith.

Many Pentecostal Churches are holding conventions that will end on Easter.
