Ghanaians asked to unite for development

Takoradi, March 8, GNA – Mr. Anthony E. Amoah, the Western Regional Minister, said the jubilee celebrations should unite the nation for the rapid development of all sectors of the economy.

He said without unity, the nations attempts at development would be halted and delayed.

Mr. Amoah said this at a non-denominational thanksgiving service organized by the Christian Council of Ghana as part of the jubilee celebrations.

He urged all Christians to pray for politicians to unite and enact development oriented policies for the country. Mr. Amoah asked Christians to demonstrate discipline in all their activities to enable others to emulate them.

The Very Reverend Daniel de Graft Brace, Synod Secretary of the Methodist Church, advised Christians in a sermon to be hardworking and avoid laziness.
