Ghanaians asked to retain NPP in December elections

Ternguanya (E/R), May 28, GNA- The Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Gustav Narh Dometey has called on Ghanaians to vote the New Patriotic Party (NPP) back to power in the December elections to continue the good work it has started.

He said the NPP government has achieved a lot in terms of development during the past three years compared to the previous government.

Addressing the people of Ternguanya, near Klo-Agogo in the Upper Manya district of the Eastern Region on Thursday, Mr Dometey noted that Krobo areas are the least developed and therefore, asked them to support the government for development of the area.

Mr Dometey, who is the NPP Parliamentary candidate for Upper Manya constituency said when voted, he would set up a Foundation to offer scholarships to needy children and create farmers service centres to provide extension services for the farmers in the area.

He said the Huhunya-Ehiamenkyene road would soon be tarred to facilitate easy transportation of people and food crops to marketing centres.

Mr Dometey warned them against disputes and litigations and appealed to them to settle disputes amicably when they occur.

Mr Joe Sam, Upper Manya Constituency chairman of NPP said the district assembly has embarked on programmes to improve educational, health, road networks and other basic amenities for the people in the area.

He therefore asked them to support the government and vote for Mr Dometey as the MP in the December elections.

Mr Joe Sam pledged that the assembly would provide four bundles of roofing sheets for the people of Nyanyoem to rehabilitate the school building, which was ripped off during a rainstorm some years ago. Mr Felix Fiawoo, a spokesman of the community commended the government and the district assembly for the extension of electricity, construction of a three class block, an office and store for the local JSS and the rehabilitation of road net work in the area.

He however, appealed for the extension of these facilities to neighbouring communities, provide boreholes, and gari processing machine for farmers in the community.
