Ghanaians asked to let death of President Mills unite the nation

Ghanaians have been asked to burry their political and ethnic differences and let the death of President John Evans Atta Mills unite them to ensure peace in Election 2012.

Mr. Seth Adjei Baah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkawkaw, who made the call, said the late President led the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Government to execute meaningful development projects for the people due to relative peace in the country.

The MP was addressing mourners from various communities in the Kwahu West Municipality dressed in red and black clothing at Nkawkaw, to mark the one week celebration of the death of President Mills.

He said the late President faced strong criticisms and challenges but he was able to implement his development agenda.

Mr. Adjei-Baah advised Ghanaians to tolerate each others views since democracy thrives on the expression of views and ideas.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Alex Somuah Obeng, called on a Ghanaians to unite and give the late President a befitting burial and continue with his legacy to enhance the development of the country.

The Reverend Father Paul Larweh of the Nkawkaw Parish of the Catholic Church in a sermon, said the late President was a great intellectual, Christian and politician, who had made immense contributions to national development.

He asked Ghanaians to emulate the late President for espousing peace, patience and tolerance and unity.**
