He said being abreast with the contents of the Constitution would enable the people to know their fundamental human rights and responsibilities so as to contribute towards the development of the country and defend it when the need arose. Rev. Adams made the call at the launch of this years Constitution Week Celebration by the Effutu Municipal Directorate of NCCE at Effutu Nsuekyir. The programme was attended by the chiefs and people of Effutu Walababa, Gyahadze, Osubonpanyin and Nsuekyir Communities. He said sensitization and education forums would be held at the communities, markets, churches and business centres as part of activities of the celebration.

Nii Ephraim, Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, urged the NCCE to intensify its educational programme on the Constitution to make the people aware of its contents. He said child welfare was paramount and it was a crime for parents to deny their children their basic needs especially refusing to send them to school. Nii Ephraim appealed to the people to use their limited resources to groom their children to become useful future citizens. He advised the children not to indulge in anti-social activities such as wee smoking, drinking alcohol and indecent dressing. During the open forum, the people appealed to the government and NCCE to make the Constitution available and affordable on the market.
