Ghanaians Advised to Culture of Maintenance

Ejisu (Ash), June 3, GNA – Mrs. Agnes Okyere-Gyamfi, Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Director of Education, has called on Ghanaians to cultivate the habit of culture of maintenance to reduce the expenditure of government on rehabilitation of government facilities. She made the call at a handing over of a block of six classrooms constructed by the government for the Ejisu Presbyterian Primary School at the cost of GH¢ 60,000 at Ejisu at the weekend. She said government spent huge sums of money on the renovation of structures instead of using the money for new projects and appealed to the people to maintain the facilities in their communities periodically. Mrs. Okyere-Gyamfi appealed to parents in the area to show interest in their children’s education by providing them with their basic needs to supplement the efforts of the government to promote quality education in the country.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Yaw Ahenkora Afrifa, said the government would continue to provide educational infrastructure to make education more attractive to the youth in the country.
